I collaborated with Strange Inc., an independent non-profit publisher based in New York City, to develop graphic content for various mediums, including artists’ portfolio, writers’ handbooks, podcast covers, and stickers. Dedicated to empowering Muslim female writers, the publisher hoped that the marketing graphics would align with their core values while evoking a vintage essence.
I was tasked with designing a podcast cover for the new podcast channel initiated by the founder of Strange Inc. The podcast is centered on female Muslim writers, and my primary goal was to convey the essence of the show within a limited space. I created three iterations of the podcast cover, as displayed above, with the one on the left being selected.
Strange Inc.’s identity was designed with the idea of mixing three basic colors, green, yellow and blue, with the same muted tone. I integrated elements such as Victorian-style borders, line art, and botanicals into the design to align with the publisher’s aesthetics.
